HAT CONSTRUCTION

I love this 'construction' hat, from Sorensen-Grundy Milliners.  As described on their website, its  'a sneeky peek behind the scenes of hatmaking, what really goes on after dark in the millinery workroom.  The 1:87 scale track maintenance workers transferred from the railway to construct a bespoke hat using buckram, blocking wire and 100% worsted wool.  The scaffolding was made using dollhouse floorboards and thin steel rods.  It turns out that making half a hat is a lot harder than a whole hat.'
